EXTREMELY POOR EXPERIENCE I had a flat tire and needed a plug. I drop my tire off at approx 6:45pm on 8/18/26. They called the next morning to tell me I had actually ran over a pair of pliers and I needed a new tire. I was told it would cost me $140. By 3pm I had to call and ask if the tire was ready to be picked up. I was told the tire was not delivered yet (go figure because that's all they sell inside now) at 5:30pm I had to call back and ask if the tire was going to be ready today. It was infact ready, but they were "too busy" to call and let me know. I get to the store approximately 20 mins later, not a single customer in the store. One mechanic is sitting down in the garage, doing nothing. Another man, sitting behind the counter - doing nothing. And yet a 3rd man, comes out and sits down, doing nothing. Still no others customers in sight. My total was $182!!! When I told the cashier, that was more than I was told on the phone, he said he didn't know anything about it. He didn't quote me the price and it probably didn't include tax. I pay for it and he prints out the receipt, and tells me the price was more because of the mounting fee? PEP BOYS SAVED OUR VACATION!!! Absolute 10/10 service from Bill and crew! Our car wouldn't start once we stopped in town. We're from Toronto, Canada on our way to D.C. to start our vacation & the only place open late enough to get our car towed to was Pep Boys. Bill was very helpful from the 1st phone call I made in a panic as we had no clue what to do. Once our issues with CAA/AAA were resolved, our tow was able to get us to the shop right before closing. Bill took his time to help with parking the car, taking all my info even though the store was closed at that point. Not going to lie it's terrifying to leave your car in 1 state & Uber to another. Sad that there were no car rental places open on Saturday afternoon but luckily a car wasn't needed in D.C.. They kept me informed of when the car would be ready & even though my credit card wouldn't work over the phone, Bill still ordered the parts & completed the job. After a 2 hr ride back to the shop & even though I was so happy to have the car ready & this ordeal not ruin the rest of the trip, Bill still managed to knock off over $100 off the total without asking which is the absolute cherry on top. The employees were super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable! I was able to schedule an alignment the day of and got my car back within an hour. They were super thorough with paperwork and I felt well taken care of

I went to Pep Boys today because my tire pressure indicator was on and I didn't have a flat.I was greeted in professional manner by Craig .S (service manager).I was informed that the tire sensor went bad and needed replaced. I had previously googled what the issue could be before I made the appointment and it told me the same ( bad sensor).I was also hearing a grinding noise when pressing on the brakes.I needed new brakes and rotators.As I expected!I got everything done and saved time since my inspection is due in July.Zane and Joshua was the technicians on the work order.Great job! I feel the difference when braking.The tire indicator is off and I am happy.From start to finish my experience was awesome . Thank you👍
